We're teachers, engineers, nurses, students and dog handlers who share one promise: when someone goes missing in our hills, they won't be searched for alone.
01Our story
Banská Bystrica sits at the heart of Slovakia, surrounded by the Low Tatras, the Kremnica Mountains, Veľká Fatra and the Poľana massif. It's a region of breathtaking trails — and of sudden fog, early darkness and terrain that can turn a Sunday walk into an emergency.
Our organization began when a small group of experienced hikers and first responders realised how much faster searches could move with a trained, organised volunteer team ready to support official services. What started as informal call-outs grew into a registered civil association with structured training, a K-9 unit and a growing network of partners.
Today we work hand-in-hand with fire and rescue services, municipalities and civil protection bodies, bringing extra eyes, skilled hands and local knowledge to searches, disaster response and community education.

02Our Team & Leadership
President & Rescue Operations Lead
Martin oversees strategic operations and field coordination for Search and Rescue Banská Bystrica. When an alert comes in, he's the calm voice that turns information into a search plan — assigning sectors, coordinating with civil protection partners and making sure every volunteer comes home safe.
Executive Secretary & Communications Director
Elena handles administrative compliance, domain oversight, partner relations and official communications via info@insideoutforeveryone.org. She keeps our registry records, partnerships and public information accurate and transparent — the backbone that lets our field teams focus on the search.
Field Logistics & Training Coordinator
Peter manages technical rescue gear, volunteer training certifications and deployment protocols. From rope systems to radio checks, he makes sure our equipment is ready and our volunteers are trained to the standard the mountains demand.

Our official operating site, communications, domain records, and administrative email address (info@insideoutforeveryone.org) are managed directly by our organizational leadership team located at Dolná 52, 974 01 Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.
Our accounts are kept in line with Slovak law for non-profit entities, and every euro we receive is directed towards equipment, training and active field missions.
